drift

drift

.

there is a moment when freedom overcomes control

only to succumb to it a millisecond later

everything afterwards depends on a strange kind of discipline

when the body acts in opposition to the machine

the movement is                                never fixed

                                                            HELD

                                                            somewhere between instinct and intention

it finds the balance                            when certainty gives way to rhythm

then

                            .

wrist turns                                                                 almost without effort

body follows through

breath settles

into a pattern older than

language

the point is not to escape control – but to find another version of it

line reveals geometry                                                language reveals architecture

on the road                 the line exists             only for the instant it is driven

on paper                     the line asks               that instant to remain

there is always that temptation to straighten the wheel

to return to the obvious and expected

yet every corner reveals another hidden path

tomorrow it will ask another question

every moment carries the memory of the last while quietly preparing the next

nothing begins

nothing finishes

sequence unfolds not as separate moments but as continuous duration

the eye no longer stops on a single image but travels across

frame by frame through an endlessly looping sequence

perhaps that is what drift really desires

to remain inside the motion

holding the edge without crossing it

trusting the intention even if it has not yet entered conscious thought

mastery lies in the permanence of the battle
